The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility – Unit Contributions (CEF-T-2024-AFIFCOEN-UNITS) supports the deployment of alternative fuel supply infrastructure along the TEN-T network, contributing to the decarbonisation of transport.
The call supported actions rolling out electricity recharging infrastructure for Light-Duty Vehicles (minimum 150 kW output) and Heavy-Duty Vehicles (minimum 350 kW output). Costs related to vehicles are not eligible.
The call has now closed. Two cut-offs were held: the first on 24 September 2024 (10 proposals submitted, 8 successful, EUR 90,205,500 awarded) and the second on 11 June 2025 (22 proposals submitted across both AFIFCOEN topics, 14 successful under UNITS, EUR 95,185,690 awarded). Due to exhaustion of funds, the planned third cut-off was cancelled. The European Commission will assess potential reflows and subsequently prepare a new work programme and call for proposals.
